Virginia College in Baton Rouge recently announced its High School Diploma Program in partnership with Penn Foster.

Through the program, students can earn an accredited high school diploma at one of 11 Virginia College campuses across the country in as little as 12 weeks and at no cost.

Since the program began in January, the Baton Rouge campus has enrolled 20 students, with four completing the program and graduating with their diplomas, according to a news release. Three of those graduates went on to enroll at Virginia College.

The program is designed for students who have previously faced challenges completing their high school diploma but who are interested in earning a diploma as a step toward a new career or further vocational training. Transfer credits will be awarded for comparable high school subjects where a full credit has been earned.
